100 Women Who Care

May 2025

Donations to date: $190,000 and counting!

Next Meeting: Thursday May 29, 2025

It’s time to begin preparing for our May meeting!  We are excited to hold our meeting at a new venue this month.  We will be at the Humber River Centre for the first time. HRC is located at 28 Ann Street, in downtown Bolton.  Formerly the Bolton Fire Station, the building has been converted to a community, cultural and business hub for the Town of Caledon.

Parking is available at the “Green P” parking lot to the north of the building.

Website Update

We have been working on updates to the website. Feedback from members indicated that finding Membership forms, Proxy votes and Nomination ballads was confusing. We grouped these forms, along with our new By-Laws under the tab “Documents and Forms”. We also included hyperlinks to the Forms page throughout the website.

Charity Nominations Are Open

Nominations are due by Thursday May 22.  Please consider if there is a charity you would like to see receive our group donation.  Visit our website at 100womenwhocarecaledon.comfor a list of eligible charities. If a member has a different charity in mind for nomination, that’s great too.

Please note that only members that are up to date on their donations may nominate a charity.

Eligible charities must:

·  provide their services to the Caledon community

·  be a registered charity able to provide members with a receipt for their donation

·  agree not to use our group donation for any administrative costs.

100% of your donation goes directly to programs that support Caledon.

Attending our meetings is a great way to hear directly from nominated charities and ask any questions you may have. Bring a friend!  We look forward to seeing you later this month.

7:00 Registration opens.

7:35 John Quintieri, Caledon Special Olympics, Feb donation update

Voting and Proxy Votes

Only members that attend the meetings in person can vote, unless they set up a proxy vote before the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to vote, you may send in a proxy vote with another member. Proxy votes can be printed from the website under the tab “Documents and Forms. Extra voting ballads will only be provided to those presenting a signed proxy vote ballad at the registration desk.

Please note that only members that are up to date on their donations may vote.

Executive Roles and By-Laws

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Patti Davidson. Patti joined the Executive in 2020 and played a part in helping get the group through the challenges of COVID. Patti has decided to resign from the Executive but will stay on as a member.

We would like to welcome the newest member of the Executive, Vasselle Barber. Vasselle joins us as a Member-at-Large. In addition to bringing fresh insight to the Executive, Vasselle has been incredibly helpful at meetings as our troubleshooting, got-to, AV support person.  Please join us in welcoming her to her new role.

We have spent some time over the winter working on our By-Laws.  Please take a moment to review the document. The By-Laws can be found on the website under the tab “Documents and Forms”. In the By-Laws, you will find information on positions on the Executive.
